Client due diligence that takes minutes, with the evidence trail built in.
Onboarding a corporate client means identifying every beneficial owner, evidencing how you got there, and repeating it for each entity in a group. Companies House gives you one company at a time and stops at the 25% threshold.
What you get
- Identify every UBO and the nature of their control in one screen.
- Walk a group upward to the ultimate parent and downward through every subsidiary.
- See shareholders the PSC register doesn't show: every holder, by share class.
- Surface charges, insolvency events and Gazette notices before the engagement letter.
How it goes
- 1
Search the client entity
Company name or number, or the individual you're dealing with.
- 2
Read the chain
UBOs sit above the target with the control band on every link; the target's holdings sit below.
- 3
Go past 25%
Open the shareholder register for every holder from the latest confirmation statement.
- 4
Check the risk layers
Registered charges, filed accounts, insolvency and Gazette history for every entity in the chain.
Case study
A share purchase agreement, three weeks from instruction
The situation
A mid-size firm is instructed on the sale of a family-owned manufacturing group. The seller has named four holding companies; due diligence needs to confirm there isn't a fifth.
What they did
The trainee opens the top holding company, reads the ownership chain up to the two individual UBOs and down through eleven subsidiaries in one sitting, and finds a twelfth company neither side had mentioned, held through a PSC relationship filed eighteen months earlier.
The result
The undisclosed subsidiary goes into the disclosure schedule before exchange, not after. What used to take a paralegal two days across Companies House one filing at a time took under an hour.
